Basic Rules for Playing Backyard Football:
- Set Chairs 40 feet apart or based on skill level.
- Games can be played 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. 2.
- When 1 vs. 1 – players play on opposite sides
- When 2 vs. 2 – teammates play on opposite sides
- Players alternate throws.
- Switch sides when the leading player/team reaches 12, 24, 36, and 48 points.
- The first player/team to reach 54 points wins the game.
- Player/Team has to win the game by 2 points.
- Losing player/team gets last licks, one throw.
How to Score Points:
- Hit the chair on a fly – Player/Team gets 3 points.
- The player throws the football into the basket for a touchdown – Player/Team gets 6 points.
- Score a touchdown, kick for an extra 1 point.
- Automatically win the game if you kick the football into the hole – GAME OVER.
- If the ball bounces on the ground from the throw and lands in the basket, the offensive team gets 2 points.
